“Lugano My Town” and “Bianconeri Alè” Make Their Debut at the New AIL Arena
When two institutions with the same roots join forces, the result is more than just a collaboration—it’s a soundtrack for the club, the city, and the fans.
With “Lugano My Town” and “Bianconeri Alè,” GOTTHARD, together with FC Lugano, presents two new songs that will define the sound of the Bianconeri in the future. Both tracks were composed specifically for the club and will become a regular feature of home games at the new AIL Arena starting with the 2026–27 season.
The songs will make their debut on July 26, 2026, at FC Lugano’s first official home game in the Brack Super League. While “Lugano My Town” gets fans in the mood for the game even before kickoff and celebrates the bond between the club, the city, and the region, “Bianconeri Alè” will accompany the teams’ entrance onto the field and provide an extra burst of energy right before kickoff.
An essential part of the project was the active participation of the Curva Nord. For the recordings, the band met with the fans directly at the new AIL Arena, where numerous vocal parts were recorded together. As a result, the voices of the tifosi blend with GOTTHARD’s music, giving both songs that authentic stadium atmosphere that was intended to define the project from the very beginning.
FC Lugano is also thrilled about the collaboration. Martin Blaser, vice president and CEO of FC Lugano, explains: “It is a great honor for FC Lugano to have produced two songs for our club together with Gotthard—one of Switzerland’s most prominent rock bands. We greatly appreciated the passion, enthusiasm, and attention to detail with which the band brought this project to life. This collaboration is another step on our journey to strengthen our regional roots and our identity. We are proud to have brought together two Ticino icons that enjoy great recognition both nationally and internationally.”
This collaboration brings together two Ticino icons in a special way: FC Lugano is opening a new chapter in its club history with the new AIL Arena, while GOTTHARD is paying musical tribute to its hometown. The result is two songs that will accompany the team and fans at every home game going forward and will leave a lasting mark on the sound of the Bianconeri.
